Keep Your Food Safe This Summer

The warmer weather is ideal for outdoor picnics and barbecues, but it also provides a perfect environment for bacteria in food to multiply rapidly and cause foodborne illness (food poisoning).  During the summer months, it is especially important to take extra safety measures when preparing and serving perishable foods such as meat, poultry, seafood, and egg/mayonnaise products.  One of the most important things to remember is the “two hour rule.”  For more ways to keep your food safe this summer, click here.
